Exploring Port Austin through Tip-A-Thumb Canoe and Kayak Rental

Port Austin is a tiny lakeside city that not many have heard of. Port Austin borders Lake Huron and also has access to the Pinnebog River. Port Austin doesn't have many visitors during the summer and nearly none in the fall and winter months. Those who do visit Port Austin usually keep this town their own little secret, which they don't realize hurts businesses and tourism in the city. Instead of keeping this town my secret, I want to share it with the world and share my findings when talking to lakeside businesses.

With a business like Tip-A-Thumb Canoe and Kayak Rental, which is located right off of Port Austin Road, they can only be in business during the spring and summer months. The off season (fall and winter) really causes a damper and causes them to have to make up for profit lost during the spring and summer months. There are many businesses that reside lakeside that have this same problem, it is often a common thread. Not many people go to the great lakes during the winter or even the fall perhaps. That is why it is crucial that we help these businesses out in the summer by telling others about them and also by visiting them frequently.

Tip-A-Thumb Canoe and Kayak Rental is a family owned operation that has always had the same people working at it, well ever since I can remember, these employees show a dedication and happiness for their job. This company is helping to show awareness to the Great Lakes and also what we put into our lakes. This company prohibits people from taking the canoes and kayaks onto the Lake and also prohibits them from leaving any trash behind.

To me, Tip-A-Thumb Canoe and Kayak Rental is more than just a company, they are friends who just want to make summer more enjoyable for their customers. They provide a fun way to be active and to explore the Pinnebog River and Lake Huron. Tip-A-Thumb Canoe and Kayak Rental deserve all the help they can get during the summer months and all the sharing and reviewing necessary to keep them afloat. So stop keeping them a secret and start sharing them with the world.
